The aims of the reviews are to develop bus services that better reflect community and community transport needs. According the State Government, the reviews will improve bus service performance by providing fast, frequent and direct services to regional centres as well as other import destinations such as hospitals, railway, education and community facilities.

Therefore, Liverpool Transport Taskforce is interested and keen to know what happen in the changes in Bus Network Routes in Region 3.

Interestingly, some people have found out that the bus routes changes will make it difficult for them because some services have been cut off. "The residents at Orchard Road discovered that route 844 is no longer in operating after the 22nd March 2010 " said George Smith. Route 844 normally use to take people from Orchard Rd to the T-Way and also to the Valley Plaza Shopping Centre and the surounding areas.

Liverpool Transport Taskforce strongly encourages people to let the State Government know if they are affedted by the Bus Network Changes. You can ring the Government on the 131500 or the website http://www.131500.com/.

Alternatively, you can contact Liverpool Transport Taskforce to discus you local transport problems by attending one our meetings. Liverpool Transport Taskforce will be happy to help you with a letter writting or submission to the Government about the local transport issues that you are having. You are welcome to our monthly Liverpool Transport Taskforce Meetings in the Gold Room at the Liverpool Library at 10:00am-12:00pm .
You can ring 9633 5068 or email Frederick Tommy fkorfehtommy25@gmail.com for more details.Frederickhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10411110640181171373noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2710764821965794983.post-24944445787183438482010-02-22T20:05:00.000-08:002010-02-22T20:36:40.204-08:00Good News for Liverpool Transport TaskforceLiverpool Transport Taskforce had been lobbying the Mininstry of Transport and Liverpool City Council regarding the installation of public toilet at Liverpool Interchange.
Finally, there is a sign of progress ; the Council is considering the request of Liverpool Transport Force and they have confirm that a submission has been put forward to Council's budget review panel, for consideration for inclusion in the 2010/11 financial year for the provision of the toilet facilities at Bigge Park.
Secondly, the Minister of Transport reviewed the request of Liverpool Transport Taskforce for toilet facilities at Liverpool Interchange and then contacted RailCorp to advise his staff to give access the bus users to use to the toilet at the concours. The Customer Service Manager at Liverpool station has advised that station staff do open the barriers to anyone who requires the use of the toilet facilities at the concours. This will accommodate the bus users at Liverpool Interchange to use the toilet facilities at the station.Frederickhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10411110640181171373noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2710764821965794983.post-65273207381533592532010-02-01T21:07:00.000-08:002010-02-01T21:16:14.095-08:00Review Region 3 networkLot of petitions have being put in place by the residents of Busby and hope something better will come after the implementation of new review.
Also, David Campbell, Minister for Transport replied in his letter addressed to Paul Lynch MP that; planning has taken place in Region 3, which includes Liverpool and its surrounding area, and a formal consultation process has being undertaken and the views of the residents will be considered as part of their analysis prior to the implementation of the new network.

The consultation period is now closed and for further information you can contact the following bus companies/or the links; hence the contract has been alocated them.
www.westbus.com.au, www.metrolink.com.au, www.hopkinsons.com.au, and www.busabout.com.au Frederickhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10411110640181171373noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2710764821965794983.post-55043138200493205342009-10-26T21:56:00.000-07:002009-10-26T21:59:47.419-07:00WelcomeHello to all members and non members, this link creates opportunities to express your opinions deeply about public transport problems the residents of Liverpool local government area are facing.
